CLUB GRANT

WHAT IS IT?

  • Grants of up to $ 1,000.00.
  • Optimist Club can only be awarded 1 grant per year.
  • One-time grant per project.

WHAT IS IT FOR?
For community projects, where community refers to a group of people sharing a common purpose or interest.

Goal of the project

  1.  Promoting and encourage the education, health, social, artistic or physical development and growth of Canadian youth.
  2. Bring about the relief of poverty and its adverse effects upon Canadian youth in particular and upon Canadian society in general.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Applicant

  • The applicant must be a Canadian adult Optimist Club.
  • Optimist Club should be in good standing with Optimist International.

Beneficiary

  • The beneficiaries must be Canadian Children (under 18 years old).
  • The projects must benefit Canadian children at large, therefore the project cannot benefit private individuals.

HOW CAN I APPLY?

  • Please send the application form by email at info@ccof-foec.org or by fax 514.721.1104
  • Project must be submitted on the CCOF Club Grant application form. As such, the Club President must sign the application form.

WHEN CAN I APPLY?
All projects must be submitted by March 31st

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Grant must only be used for the project submitted.
  • Grant cannot be transfer to another project.
  • Grant cannot be used for the financing of the club activities.
  • Must have fundraising efforts implemented before applying.
  • Applicant can resubmit rejected projects.
  • Projects regarding Childhood health are not eligible to CCOF Club Grant program. Please apply to the Spread Relief Program.
  • Project must be submitted on the CCOF Club Grant application form. As such, the Club President must sign the application form.
  • It is mandatory to actively seek activities to publicly recognize the Canadian Children’s Optimist Foundation support. This may include public announcements, news releases, awards presentations, acknowledgements on websites and special events. All annual reports, newsletters, news releases, exhibits, interviews or other means of communication -print, visual or virtual-dealing with the activities or achievements of your projects shall acknowledge the Foundation’s support.
