A word from Raymonde Michaud,
President 2017-18 of the Canadian Children Optimist Foundation
It is with pleasure that I salute this Optimist new year. It is a great challenge and a privilege for me to serve the Canadian Children Optimist Foundation taking over Nina Strickland role, as we celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Foundation.
The theme I propose for the year 2017-18 is:
“With the Foundation, let’s build bridges”
For the 100th Convention to be held in Ottawa, I invite you to build hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of bridges.
Yes! You have read … building bridges, with the Foundation!
Build bridges with members, with clubs, with districts, with beneficiaries, with stakeholders, with donors. Build the most beautiful bridge, the one of the pride of our foundation, the pride of all the programs offered to Optimist Clubs to help them help young people.
Build bridges with the help of you Governors, you Club Presidents, you District and Club Foundation Representatives.
Build bridges with all the Canadian Optimist members.
All together, build bridges.
To encourage the enthusiasm of keeping our Foundation alive, there will be incentives every quarter that will maybe lead you to a Convention fee reimbursement. Find more details by clicking here.
I invite you to make your way to the 100th Convention by building 10, 100, 1000, 100,000 bridges. Be there in Ottawa to celebrate our 30th anniversary.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! For everything you do for the Canadian Children Optimist Foundation and everything you will be doing to build bridges.
With all my Optimism,
Raymonde Michaud, president
Canadian Children Optimist Foundation
